Government Degree College, Drang Facilities

  • Library

    The college has a spacious and well-established library with 3100 books and four govt. magazines and seating arrangement of 25 students that can be increased as per the requirement.

  • Laboratories

    The college has a science and geography department that is equipped with well-furnished laboratories. There are 5 (Five) rooms in the college which are used as laboratories. The laboratories are equipped with basic facilities required for the purpose of practical classes. 

  • I.T Infrastructure

    The college has adequate IT facilities for strengthening the teaching and learning process. Therefore our campus is upgraded with all the necessary IT facilities.

  • Sports

    The institute does not have a sanctioned post for sports teachers. One of our faculty members has been given additional charge of sports. The College has now a single sports ground of its own of a size of 100 mts X 45 Mts. Although this span is not very large – still it is exceedingly important in this hilly area where space limitation is a truth. This field nurtures outdoor games like badminton, volleyball, basketball, etc.

  • Wifi

    The college campus is WI-FI enabled. Faculty members can access Wi-Fi anywhere on the campus to gain additional information.

  • Cafeteria

    The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

  • Alumni Associations

    The college has good networking for the alumni association.

  • Auditorium

    The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The college has one seminar hall for conducting seminars for students.

  • Club

    The college has Red Ribbon Club a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which students will spread awareness about HIV / AIDS. The main objectives of Red Ribbon Club are to reduce occurrences of HIV / AIDS infections among youth by raising awareness, to instill among students the value of service towards the community, to develop a healthy lifestyle, and to increase access to safe adequate qualities of blood to all needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donations.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is very normal.The college has basic facilities. The classrooms and library are okay, but some things like the labs need improvement. It would be better if they had more modern equipment.
