GECB stands for Government Engineering College Bellary which is a well-known college of engineering was set up in the year of 2007. This affiliated college is situated Bellary district of Karnataka in Huvinahadagali and has a campus of 25 acres in area. GECB has developed its reputation largely as a technical education and approved institute from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has students in a total of 665 enrolment, and faculty staffs a total of 18 members. GECB is spread across four campuses offering four B.Tech programs for students to provide them the latest in knowledge and skills for excelling in the engineering field.

The Government Engineering College, Bellary provides total of four full time B.Tech courses of four years each. Such programs are civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering. Each course has been given an approval to admit 60 students and with this total students admitted stands at 240 across all the programs offered. As a result of this try moist approach, GECB is in a position to produce quality education standards and also focusing on each individual student.
