Government Engineering College, Bilaspur offers various programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. GEC Bilaspur courses are offered in the stream of Engineering & Architecture in regular full-time mode only. At the UG level, GEC Bilaspur offers B.Tech programmes in seven disciplines and at the PG level, the college offers an M.Tech programme in Thermal Engineering.

Note: GEC Bilaspur also offers admission in the B.Tech programme through the Lateral Entry mode. Candidates must have passed the 3-year Diploma/2-year Diploma (Lateral Entry) Examination in any branch of Engineering and Technology from a recognised Board/University with a minimum of 45% marks to be eligible for the lateral entry.
Government engineering colleges have every required infrastructure that a student needs for its smooth study environment, the college has sophisticated labs, sports and other clubs, accessible library and it's own play ground.
There are Two Accademic buildings in College one for( Mechanical, Electrical ,Civil and Mining) and one for ( Electronics,Comp. Science and IT) branch. Each department have sufficient number of rooms including regular classroom,labs and as a store room. Since College has Established during 60s so, Building of core branches is getting very old and at some areas there are lot of cracks. Court or developed ground is not present for any game. Students use Open areas for ground purpose under campus.
Yeah they have neccessary infrastructure, and quite good facilities and equipment too... we have enough books in our libraries and each class facilitate with smart boards and all neccessary equipments are present in our laboratories and badminton courts and playgrounds and garden are present... the living spaces are clean and hygienic and foods given in hostels and canteen are hygienic....
