Dear Aspirant,

Congratulations for getting this rank, with this rank you can get government college but there is no chance of getting CSE, you can ME,IT,ECE, Leather Technology and courses which are less in demand

Hello remin,
With this predicted rank,
Your chance to get a govt campus is less. If you belong to general catogary then your chance is less.
If you belong to SC/ST then you have chance to get a seat in government college.
You can chance in govt but not in good branch.
You can check here your possibilities here.-

  • If you can afford drop year go for it.
  • If you can afford fees of some good private colleges go for them.
  • You have many options such as state engg. colleges.

Dual Reporting under JoSAA 2018

As per rules of JoSAA, only a one-time opportunity will be given to candidate for Registration, Online Choice Filling, Dual Reporting. As far as Registration and Choice Filling  is concerned every student is aware about the same, but Dual Reporting is what where students get confused. So, here is the explanation of Dual Reporting. It is a process under which candidate can report twice, and can switch seat allocated in one institute with the seat allocated in another one. Candidates will require this Dual Reporting if they want to change the allotment of seat from NITs, IIITs or Other GFTIs to an IIT/ ISM. Same rule applies in Vice versa situation. Candidates who will fail to do so will end up losing the seat in both NIT/IIIT/GFTI and IIT/ISM.
