To get admission in Government Engineering College, Valsad you need to give GUJCET exam. Admissions are based on the GUJCET scores. Candidate should have passed Std. 12 (Science Stream) from single board with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWSs candidates) to be eligible for admissions.

The College has different buildings for different departments and has lab and library facilities. Though, the labs aren't fully equipped. The classrooms are big and well ventilated. Free WiFi is available, but the information is not known by alot of students. The canteen is not so good. The taste of food is poor.
