Thirthahalli First Grade Government College is a newly instituted and affiliated college under the University of Mysore, and is located at Baalebailu, Thirthahalli, Shivamogga District of Karnataka. The college excels in various under-graduate and post-graduate programs in arts, commerce, science, and computer applications. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: This is essentially a course under the Bachelor of Commerce which is taken by the college. Admission to this course depends on the marks obtained by the candidate in 10+2, giving importance to subjects possessing a relationship to commerce and mathematics. It lasts usually for three years.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration is meant for those students who want to study management studies. Admission is based on the performance in the 10+2 examination, where the preference is given for candidates coming with a commerce or science background. The total fee of the BBA program is Rs 12,100.

BA: Government First Grade College, Thirthahalli, offers four specializations under the Bachelor of Arts program. Admission to BA courses will be based on 10+2 marks and consideration to subjects studied in the qualifying exam. Total Fees payable for the BA program is Rs 11,840.

B.Sc.: The College provides two specializations of the Bachelor of Science program. For admission into the B.Sc. courses, a good foundation in science subjects is required at the plus two level, with selection based on marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

BCA: Bachelor in Computer Applications course for those who want to pursue the world of computers and applications. Admission to the degree is dependent mainly on the marks of the 10+2 examination, with preference given to mathematics or computer science students. The total amount for the BCA program is Rs 31,280.

M.Com: The college offers a Masters course in Commerce for its master's studies. Admission depends primarily on the house marks secured on the undergraduate degree in related subjects, preferably commerce.
