Government General Degree College, Singur, or GGDC Singur, is a relatively young institution of higher education, set up in the Hooghly district of West Bengal in 2013. Located at Singur, this affiliated college has been developing at a steady pace in terms of academics as well as infrastructure. It occupies a compact 7 acres, and was granted the approval of NAAC thus providing a great learning environment for its students.

The Government General Degree College has many facilities to make the learning environment more enriching for its students. At the heart of these facilities is the library, still at a developmental stage but being built with a clear focus on the needs of students for learning and faculty members for their research. For the sporty or physically active type of student, GGDC Singur has made provisions through an affiliation with the Government Physical Education College for Women that would enable students to access high-quality sports facilities. The campus also contains a centrally located canteen, which offers students an area to rest and take a breather between classes. One of the positive features of this college is the well-maintained and fully-equipped laboratories; they are constantly being upgraded with the help of the government.

GGDC Singur offers a undergraduate programs in the form of 16 courses for two degree types. The courses are regular full-time courses that aim to offer in-depth study in their respective subjects.
