Government Madhav Arts and Commerce College, Ujjain is one of the oldest institution in the region that was set up in 1890. This affiliated college is based at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and it comprises numerous programmes in arts as well as commerce streams. The college is wholly accredited by a leading statutory body, namely the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is a testimony of the noble quest of the college in offering quality education. The college occupies a small campus area of 0.415 acres and comprises 60 committed academic staff. Offering 15 courses in five degree programmes, the institution focuses on certain academic fields and study them in Arts, Commerce, and Management fields.

Government Madhav Arts and Commerce College has a wide-fare courses being offered by the college to cater the wide ranging academic needs. The institution offers 15 full time programmes for both the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels. Some of the desirable courses at the undergraduate level are BA, B.Com and BBA with 680, 540 and 120 seats respectively. Moreover, there are the following professional courses for the students aspiring to study commerce: B.Com in Computer Applications with a total of 60 seats. The college also impart post graduate degrees, where it has the facility of M.Com with 240 seats for the course, although it has other MA courses such as Sociology, History, and Geography with 80 seats each. Other programmes of study under the MA are also offered in subjects such as English, Drawing and Painting, and Philosophy and each offered with an intakes of 30 students.
