The Government Medical College, Nizamabad is a government medical college in the state of Telangana, India which was opened in 2013. This co-educational college is situated in Khaleelwadi, Nizamabad, and it occupies as vast expanse of land spread over twenty five acres. Since it is affiliated to NMC and an affiliated college, GMC Nizamabad has gained speedy repute in medical colleges. Currently the institute has 18 courses under three degrees with total intake of 420 students. The college has 124 well qualified and experienced faculty members to provide required student-faculty ratio so as to adopt child centered approach in the college.

Government Medical College, Nizamabad has set up many a facility common in modern day educational institutions to benefit the students. The college includes well-armed and equipped with modern facilities with particular reference to technologies and ICT to adequately support the academic discourse. The flagship of the college is the MBBS programme that provide 120 intakes for student enrollment. Also, the research faculty in Government Medical College, Nizamabad is diversified with 16 postgraduate courses and offered MD and MS in various specializations of General Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Orthopedic among others. These full time programmes normally take three to six years to complete depending on the level of study. The college is both highly committed to medical education and boasts of a diverse and vibrant student population enrollment of 420.

Like all the other medical colleges, GMC Nizamabad has a strict admission criterion and only the merit students will be allowed to enrol in this college. The admission to the MBBS programme is provided by candidates upon the result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG), a medical entrance examination in India. Those students who wants to pursue post graduation, have to appear for NEET PG examination to be eligible for the MD/MS course. We follow the norms of counseling and seat distribution process which is followed by the related authority without any compromise for admission.
