The college has four years after the establishment of the college it was decided to provide hostel facilities to the students coming from different places and the First hostel building was constructed in the year 1958. The first superintendent was the founder principal of the college, Mrs. Kusum Mehta. The college has three hostel buildings named “SWAYAMSIDDHA BLOCK A, B, C & D “on the premises accommodating ~ 700 students coming from nearby areas & other states. All the three blocks are connected through a gallery, however, the administration & mess facility is centralized. The hostel provides a high degree of security & good facilities. The motto of the hostel is “Home away from Home”. The hostel wardens and “caretakers” pay personal attention & ensure a healthy environment in the hostel. Facilities like food purified drinking water, entertainment, telephone, counseling, coaching, Computer Laboratory & Library are an integral part of the hostel. The health facility includes the daily visit of a doctor in the evening & also on the call, in case of an emergency. The hostel rooms are spacious, with proper ventilation & lighting facilities, and are well furnished. The hostel administration has taken care of the recreation of students by providing a Television, music system for each block.
The library is situated on the ground floor over an area of 950 Sq.m. with well-classified sections Librarian Chamber. Computer section. Issue Return. Subject wise Book Section. Magazine Section. Reading Room with Open Shelf System. Special space for Visually Challenged persons. Photocopy Section. Space for Keeping belongings. FEATURES OF LIBRARY The Library is computerized & totally works on the Network version of SOUL software, developed by Inflibnet/DeNet for executing various functions like a generation of Library Card, Issue / Return, Search, OPAC i.e. Open Public Access Circulation, Generation of Barcodes, etc. Best practices or Innovative practices of the library are Motivational writing, User survey, Suvichar, Thought of the day, Book of the week. The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. Central Computer Laboratory for add on course “ Computer Basics”.

Alumni Association Of The College is Registered as NGO and is named as JABALPUR HOME SCIENCE COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION --JHSCAA Estd on 26.2.1999 Reg No JJ 5489 on 3 July 2001.
The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like, photocopying facility & stationery, etc.).
The infrastructure is not that good but the building is decent.The surrounding has a lot of greenery.The buildings surround the lush green garden and there are plants and flowers all around.Library has a good amount of books .
The college is good if I say it correctly a mixed bag. In classroom, there is no smart boards or ac, but they are functional. The Library is good with loads of books and reading room is nice as well but no phone allowed. Labs are decent. Sports centre offering good options. Living spaces are clean and food is hygienic. Three stars because improvement in classrooms are needed for a better experience.
My college have very big campus. Our classes were huge and well-equipped. There were laboratories, a large library, a zoology museum, and a huge playground. In our hostel, a playground . The food served at the canteen was average. There was an auditorium. College campus was awesome and beautiful.
