Government Mukut Dhar Pandey College, Katghora, was established in 1985. It is a co-educational institution located in Korba district, Chhattisgarh. This affiliated college, accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, offers undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study in a truly wide range of programs. The college was established in the year 1971, with its 14.4 acre, sprawling campus accommodating a total student enrolment of 1,597 and a faculty strength of 16.

The undergraduate courses that are available in this college are BA, B.Sc Mathematics Group, B.Com and B.Sc Biology Group. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA program in  Sociology,  Hindi, History and Political Science along with M.Com and M.Sc in Chemistry and Zoology. All courses are offered under the full-time mode with an overall approved intake of 820 seats in all the programs.
