Library and information centers in technical institutions have been playing an important role in enriching the knowledge of the students, teachers, and other members of the institution. The library in the Govt. Polytechnic College, Mattannur has a collection of above 8000 books in the different areas of technical education. The functioning of the library is powered by Koha Software. The library remains open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Students can borrow up to 3 books for 14 days and teaching staff can borrow up to 5 books for 14 days.

    IEDC Club

    The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC) are platforms set up mainly in Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Polytechnics to provide students an opportunity to innovate and experiment. An IEDC Unit functions in this institution under the nodal officer and is actively involved in encouraging students to new ideas implementation and Entrepreneurship development.

    Bhoomthra sena club

    Bhoomthra Sena Club functions under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and is functioning on our campus with active student participation. Bhoomithra Sena Club aims to take up environmental protection activities and awareness extension activities in the vicinity of the college. Activities of the club encourage the students to appreciate the environment and react positively to environmental issues.
