Government Polytechnic for Girls, Ahmedabad has been one of the front-runner technical institutes since its inception in the year 1964 for the empowerment of women through education in quality professional technical education. Situated right in the heart of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, this AICTE-approved institute sprawls over a gigantic area of 6 acres of land. It offers a wide array of diploma courses—8 in number. It has a considerable student enrollment of 1,682 and is supported by faculty strength of 87 experienced professionals. Being an affiliated college, GPGA has been a role model for technical education for the aspiring women engineers hailing from the region.
