The Government Polytechnic, Jammalamadu, was started in 2008, and it is an affiliated college located in the YSR District of Andhra Pradesh. This is a diploma-awarding institution in technical education certified by AICTE in Manipal. With an aggregate land area of 13 acres, the total enrolment capacity of the polytechnic is 306, and it has 14 faculty members.

Government Polytechnic, Jammalamadugu admission procedure includes, majorly, the POLYCET examination conducted in Andhra Pradesh. This exam, like all others, is sat once a year to determine those who have the disposition for the polytechnic system of learning. Aspiring students are also needed to write the AP POLYCET exam and obtain a qualifying rank to join the college.
