Government Siddhartha Medical College (GSMC), Vijayawada, is a renowned medical institution located in India. It is notable in the circuits of medical colleges for having a difficult entry and a high standard of medical education. The college offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty programs in a multitude of medical disciplines. The admission process of GSMC selects the best candidates from across the country to its institute.
Every year, GSMC admissions' closing process begins in May and ends in June, with the academic year opening in August and September. Thus, the admission processes of such institutions are through different national level entrance examinations dependent on the program. NEET-UG results serve as admission criteria for undergraduate programs; for postgraduate entries, NEET-PG results are needed; NEET-SS scores are to be qualified for admission to the super-specialty programs.
By and large, for admission to the MBBS course, the following minimal requirement is satisfied: Must have passed 10 + 2 from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology under compulsory subjects. For postgraduate, candidates must possess an MBBS degree from some recognized university. Super-specialty candidates have to complete MD/MS in the specialized subject.
Application Procedure
Different methods apply to admission into Government Siddhartha Medical College for the various programs:
For MBBS:
1. Qualify NEET-UG examination.
2. Register for the applicable state-level or all-India counselling.
3. Choose GSMC and preferred course during the counselling process.
4. Report to GSMMC for document verification and fee deposit because a seat is allotted.
For MD/MS programs:
1. Qualify the NEET-PG examination.
2. Register for the appropriate state-level or all-India counselling.
3. Choose GSMC and preferred specialization through counselling.
4. If chosen, complete admission formalities at GSMC.
For DM/M.Ch programs:
1. Qualify through NEET-SS.
2. Participate in centralized counseling under the aegis of the Medical Counselling Committee.
3. Chose GSMC and Super Specialty Program at counselling.
4. If selected an aspirant can report to GSMC for his/her admission procedures.
Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: GSMC has a provision of 175 seats for the MBBS intake. Admissions are granted based on the rank acquired by the candidate in NEET-UG. The program is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is its flagship program.
MD/MS: Different MD and MS seats are available for specified programs. Some important courses include:
Admissions to all MD/MS courses are made through the basis of NEET-PG followed by counseling.
DM/M.Ch: For 5 students each, the super specialty courses include DM Neurology and M.Ch. Neuro Surgery. The admissions are conducted through NEET-SS counseling by the Medical Counseling Committee.
Other Postgraduate Diplomas - Diploma courses are also offered, including Diploma in Radio Diagnosis, with admissions based on NEET-PG scores.

Considering General category, you will have to score 540+ in All India Quota to get this college. Under State quota you will have to score 510+.
