Overall, my experience at Victoria College pursuing B.Com (Honours) has been satisfactory. The teaching quality is decent. The curriculum is comprehensive, but could benefit from frequent updates. The course structure includes few ACCA papers, which is beneficial for students looking for both degree and professional course.
The placements are decent, primarily attributed to the college's reputation in the state. However, it's worth mentioning that the campus placement committee seems to be somewhat lacking in effectiveness, merely serving as a namesake rather than actively facilitating the process.
Being a state-government institution, the fees are nominal, making it a good choice for those seeking quality education without breaking the bank. It's reassuring to know that I'm getting a quality education without the burden of exorbitant tuition fees.
My college experience has been enriching in numerous ways. The campus life fosters a sense of community and belonging, hence the motto 'Once a Victorian, always a Victorian'. Interacting with friends from diverse backgrounds, engagement in campus politics and election, participating in NSS and variety of student clubs has broadened my perspectives.
Like the Quote " Once a Victorian, always a Victorian ", Victoria College helped me lot in the transition phase from a teenager to an adult. It's first college to offer honours degree in commerce in the state and also during my period the programme was linked with ACCA and the students who are interested in pursuing a professional course was provided with the opportunity to pursue ACCA.
It's one of the best Higher Education Institute in the state and the department of commerce, Government Victoria College. It's an institution affiliated to Calicut University. Victoria College is an affiliated College.

Com ( Honours) course completed for just ₹ 6000 college fees ( 2000 per year fees) in India. And most of the students gets scholarship from state government through e-grantz.
Excellent campus life. It's said that "once you cross the Sir Krishnan nair gate, you will not leave empty handed" . The students can learn so life lessons and will be able to face any difficult situations in life with a simple
As a college which is 135 years old, it has excellent infrastructure as per the intake of the college. The college has very good departmental libraries, general library, laboratories, hostels, and sports facilities.
The curriculum for BCom Honors gets updated from time to time. The syllabus and curriculum are mentioned clearly for the students and the college provides with excellent and qualified faculty to teach.
Undergraduate students mostly go for further studies. The academia and the brand name of the college makes the students job-ready and can get placed in top companies. Moreover, the college hosts job fairs in an annual basis in the campus.
The annual fee for all the courses in the college is around INR 5000. Given the quality of education, academia, and infrastructure, the value for money is very high. The expenses for availing hostel facilities are also reasonable.
The campus is lively with the energetic students and great student activities and events in the district and state levels. The institute is situated in the heart of Palakkad town from where every facility is easily accessible.

Hello dear
There are 29 seats in BSC Zoology course in Government Victoria College Palakkad. The cutoff varies depending on the popularity of the course and how many people have applied for it. Also, since this year most cbse and isc schools have given higher than usual marks so it will be impossible to say exactly how much the cutoff percentage should be. However any person who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent is eligible for the course.
All the best.
