Government Women’s Polytechnic College the visionary institution of technical education for women was established in the year 1992 at Kottakkal. The affiliated college is at Puthuparambu, Kottakkal in the Malappuram district of Kerala having a campus area of 19 acres. Affiliated to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institute is encompassed of four diploma courses and has the capacity to impartment student of 496. GWPC Kottakkal provides four B.Tech full- time Courses comprising three calendar years each. These are Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management, Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering.
