Government Women's Polytechnic is one of the best institutions in Jharkhand. It has a clear objective and aims to provide quality education, all-round development of students and improve their employment prospects with a special focus on SC and ST students.
The GWP Ranchi was started in 1974 as the first women's polytechnic in the undivided state of Bihar and is now the premier polytechnic in the state of Jharkhand. The premises of this company are 10 (ten) acres. The institute provides the necessary facilities to the students like various laboratories, furniture, equipment, a library, etc.
Initially, the institute was opened with only two branches of 3-year diploma courses; Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Secretarial Training and Stenography. Currently, GWP courses include 3-year diploma courses in 3 branches; Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering & Electrical Engineering.
The following 3-year courses are offered by the Institute with the approval of All India Council of Technology There are 2 hostels with 200 seats each located near the institute building. The GWP fees vary for each course.
Science Since its inception the GWP placement cell has trained many women candidates many of whom are now working in State Government, Central Government, Private and Public Sectors like Radio Stations, Television Centres, Telephone Exchange, AAI, P&T, DISCO, Railways, CCL, Electricity etc. Departments, BSNL etc

Government Women's Polytechnic, Ranchi Admission
GWP Ranchi Admission 2024: GWP Ranchi courses include a Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
GWP admission to all UG Diploma programs will be done based on the DLCECE Examination conducted by the JCECE Board every year normally in the month of May. Candidates who cleared the DLCECE will be eligible for GWP Ranchi Diploma admission.

GWP Ranchi Application Procedure
Candidates will be selected by following the below process for GWP courses. GWP application is available in offline mode. Visit the Government Women's Polytechnic College office and collect the application.
Fill out the GWP Diploma Application Form and send it by post along with DD along with the required documents. Also, students can submit the GWP Ranchi application form directly at the college office premises.
GWP Diploma Admissions 2024
Govt Women's Poly Ranchi admission for the undergraduate diploma programme is based on the marks obtained in the DLCECE and past academics. Eligible students can apply for GWP admission in their desired course.

GWP facilities include well-ventilated spacious classrooms to accommodate around 75 students per branch. Apart from these classrooms, there are training rooms, faculty rooms, laboratories and open spaces for students, faculty and staff to move freely.Govt. Best college for girls in Jharkhand for studying Polytechnic

Infrastructure of this college is good, but lack of laboratory facilities. There is two hostels which is quite good. Classroom has smart board. College has Wi-Fi facility , well-maintained libraries . College living spaces are clean and hygienic.

In my college Government Women's Polytechnic Ranchi the infrastructure related facilities are pretty good. The college campus is big and clean and hygienic. Yes college also have wifi facilities and wifi boards.
Overall satisfied and it fullfilled my all dreams.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is good and well developed.It have all the nesscaary equipment and well maintained.My college has all the facilities of laboratories, library and all the nesscaary things,the Wifi facility is quite well but the college hostel need to be repaired.
