Degree wise Admission Process

BA: Admission to the Bachelor of Arts course in Guru Nanak College is purely on merit. Candidates who complete their 10+2 from any recognized board may apply. The admissions process is generally based on marks secured in the qualifying examination.

B.Com: Merit in 10+2 examination generally takes students into the Bachelor of Commerce course. Of this program, the college has a permitted intake of 70 seats. Preference is given to students coming from a commerce background or from those who studied related subjects in their higher secondary education.

M.Com: Admission to the Master of Commerce program is purely merit based. All candidates who have completed their Bachelors in Commerce or a related domain can apply for the course. The college has a permitted intake of 40 seats for this post-graduate program lasting two years.

MA (Hindi, Punjabi, History): Master of Arts in Hindi, Punjabi, and History are the Master of Arts programs offered by Guru Nanak College. The entrance to these programs is strictly on a merit basis, depending on the candidate's performance in their bachelor's degree. Each MA program has an approved intake of 60 seats.

PGDCA: Admission for postgraduate diploma courses in computer application (PGDCA) is also based on merit. Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply for this one-year diploma program. There are 40 approved seats for the PGDCA program at the college.
