Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Polytechnic College, Malout, is an affiliated college, situated at Malout in Punjab, India which was started in 1989. It has been providing technical education since over thirty years and is based in Muktsar district of Punjab. The college occupies a spacious piece of land of about 10 acres thereby, providing a prepared leaarning atmosphere. The college has strong student intake of 266 and faculty of 22 giving it good student faculty ratio that improves the talent development through one on one contact. The institute has four diploma courses in engineering to meet current and developing technical sectors and prepare students.

Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Polytechnic College presents the complete educational facility which can be deduced from the variety of amenities. The internet service centre has many computers connected to internet and is comprehensively stocked and air conditioned for students and faculty to make optimum use. The computerised faciltities with multimedia help student to update themselves with latest technology available in computer science departments. The college also has departmental laboratories allowing practical skills that are important in the college and for technical education. This composite campus consists of a canteen facility, a multi-purpose seminar hall along with an auditorium in the same compound. There are banks within the compound such as Punjab and Sind Bank and Axis Bank with ATMs installation. The different college activities are increased through the provision of product services with a special focus on a health centre with first-aid facilities. Transport facilities are also offered by this college to make it easier for a student or any staff member to travel.

The Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Polytechnic College provides a small selection of full-time diploma based engineering courses. The four courses offered are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. They all take three years to complete but give the students sufficient understanding and abilities to work in specialised areas. These four programmes cater to the college’s total student intake of 266 and this shows that the college provides a fair share to all disciplines of engineering.

The admissions at Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Polytechnic College are easily understandable and students are not required to write entrance exams. The polytechnic colleges admit students based on their performance in corresponding subjects and entrance tests.
