Gyan Vihar School of Engineering and Technology (GVSET) was built up in 2000 and is one of the premier institutes of engineering, situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. GVSET is a constituent of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, and the institution provides various engineering programmes at the level, under graduate, post graduate and diploma. The institute has 29 faculty members and offers 19 programmes of study at three different levels of degree. Recent surveys have classified GVSET as having multiple specialisations as Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering etc.

The Gyan Vihar School of Engineering and Technology has 19 courses in total; they are B.Tech, M.Tech, and Diploma. B.Tech programmes offer the core engineering majors and interdisciplinary subjects like Data Analytics assisted by IBM as well as Artificial Intelligence, supported by upGrad. The M.Tech programmes offered are for the specialised fields Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management and Cloud Computing and Security. The institute also has diploma courses in various fields of engineering to allow the students to join engineering courses at several points.

The admission policy at Gyan Vihar School of Engineering and Technology is combination based and involve several criteria. For B.Tech, programmes, students are admitted according to their score in JEE Main/SGVUEE or percentage obtained in the qualifying examination (XII standard). The usual criteria of admissions for M.Tech are the scores of the GATE examination or SGVUEE.
