The Hindu Girls College, Sonepat (HGC) is a well-reputed institute, offering quite a few undergraduate and postgraduate programs for women. The admission process of the college is mostly merit- and performance-based in qualifying examinations. HGC is affiliated to a university and thus follows the admission calendar specified by it. The admission cycle is generally synchronized with the academic calendar of the affiliating university.

B.Com: The college has 200 seats for B.Com, with admissions granted based on 10+2 results. The program fee is Rs 40,085.

B.Sc: Various B.Sc programs are there to be offered:

1. B.Sc Non-Medical: 140 seats
2. B.Sc Medical: 80 seats
3. B.Sc Computer science: 60 seats
4. B.Sc Biotechnology: 40 seats
5. B.Sc Mathematics (Hons): 40 seats

BBA and BCA: Both programs have 60 seats for each. The BBA fee is Rs 59,085.

Postgraduate Programs:

1. M.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry): 40 for Maths, 20 each for Physics and Chemistry
2. M.Com: 40
3. MA (Economics, English, Geography, Sanskrit): 40 each for Economics, English and Geography; 15 for Sanskrit
