The Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering, Pune offers 2 programmes in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. These AME courses are approved by the Directorate of Civil Aviation, Govt of India, and designed as per CAR-147 (Basic). The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course spans 3 years, divided into six 6-month semesters, encompassing category modules. It includes basic knowledge training, examination, practical training, and assessment. Each semester offers both theory and practical instruction, followed by corresponding exams. There are a total of 2 courses offered at HAE: 1. Cat B1.1 (Mechanical-Aeroplane Turbine) and 2. Cat B2 (Avionics). Learners at HAE PUNE also undergo practical training in live airport maintenance settings for real-world experience. During these 3 years, students face two types of exams: Semester Exams and Module Exams.
