The HRH Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering and Technology is a prestigious governmental engineering college located in the town of Jorhat, state of Assam, India. This is a highly renowned affiliated college with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and was established in the year 1927. The institute is spread over 31 acres of land and offers an enrolment of about 1,486 students enrolled with 28 faculty.

Admissions in all the courses will be on the basis of the marks secured by the respective candidates in the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test which is commonly known as Assam PAT. This is a common admission test for admission to the diploma courses conducted by the State Council for Technical Education under the aegis of the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. Every student desirous of admission shall have to appear for and qualify in the PAT. The institute strictly adheres to the admission calendar and procedure laid down by DTE, Assam.
