Established in year 2014, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Campus, Amritsar, is situated in Punjab India. Located within the Government Polytechnic College at Polytechnic Road, near CIPET College, this campus is absolutely giant in area with a total of 78.16 acres. The institute has four course in total and it has three degree programmes in engineering and computer application departments. This campus has 146 students while the faculty members are 7 therefore, the learning atmosphere is relatively concentrated. The institute has specialisation in offering engineering programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Applications for the undergraduates and postulants as well.

IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Campus stands equipped with several installation facilities that can improve and make the learning of students fulfilling. Among exhibitions, the library should be mentioned as a key in providing access to more than 1,100 books on various branches of knowledge with the focus on the engineering and computer application. The students can comfortably to read with a reasonable number of seats that will be provided. The faculty has taken great consideration it providing physical programmes for those who are interested in physical activities they include a cricket pitch, a football pitch, a volleyball pen and an athletic track. There are games such as chess, carrom, and badminton. The promotion of good sportsmanship is a principle well practiced by the Sports Department which is always involved in annual activities and inter-college university tournaments.

The campus has four full time courses of study offered in different categories of learning. These programmes have a total of 198 student places for admissions. At the undergraduate level, the campus offers three courses, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and BCA for which the intake capacity of each course is 60 students. The following is the list of postgraduate programmes offered by the institute, M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, has a total intake of 18. Each of the study programmes is drafted as full-time which allows the students learn all the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the chosen field.

The admission in to IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Campus, Amritsar, has different procedures for the various programmes. To get admission in B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, student has to take admission through JEE Main.  There are a certain criterion regarding the admission for the M.Tech programe in Computer Science and Engineering where candidate must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. GATE is a National Examination for the admission of candidates into M.Tech., ME and Direct Ph.D. programmes in Engineering colleges and universities across the country. In this case, candidates are encouraged to follow schedules for JEE Main and GATE examinations as these are primary channels through which they can be admitted to respective programmes.
