The Campus has been on the road of development daily. The library consists of an adequately rich collection of books for the fulfillment of the requirements of the students. The Library is adequately rich in its collection of books catering to most of the branches of knowledge especially in engineering and computer application. There is a collection of more than 1,100 books (Text, References, and General) in the Library. It has adequate seating capacity for students.

The Sports Department of the Campus was established to promote sportsmanship amongst the students. The Department organizes the annual activities under the guidance of the sports committee of the IKGPTU Amritsar Campus. In an academic session, IKGPTU Amritsar Campus organizes various sports activities on the campus. The students of IKGPTU Amritsar Campus also participate in different Inter-College University Tournaments. The sports department of the IKGPTU Amritsar Campus is visualizing programs to increase the participation of students in different sports activities by offering financial incentives to the medal winners in different Inter-Varsity sports tournaments. IKGPTU Amritsar Campus provides World Class Level Kits to players of Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Chess, Carrom, Badminton, Athletics, etc. Sports facilities available: Cricket Ground Football Ground Indoor Games: Chess, Carrom, Badminton Athletics Tracks Volleyball Court.

The Training and Placement Cell of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Amritsar Campus handles campus placement of M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering(CSE), B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering(CSE), B.Tech Mechanical Engineering(ME) and Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA) graduating students. The Placement Cell provides complete support to the visiting Companies at every stage of the placement process. Arrangements for Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Interviews, and Group Discussions are made as per the requirements of the visiting companies. The Cell has modern infrastructure facilities for receiving various companies on the campus. The department is geared up to provide its quality services not only in employment to students during studies, but also their employability through well-planned and organized training and personality development programs and their development to face the corporate world. The cell also organizes seminars, group discussions, and mock interviews as a part of career guidance and personality development.
