Imphal College, Imphal Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Imphal College, Imphal, is a reputed college affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Imphal College's admission process is meant to choose the most deserving students on the basis of merit and adheres to the norms laid by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

The college usually starts its admission process for the academic year that commences in August-September. Imphal College offers admissions through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), which is held every year by the National Testing Agency. The CUET UG test for the next academic year will be conducted from May 15 to May 24, 2025, in online mode.

Eligibility for admission into Imphal College depends on the selected program. Mostly, the applicants should have successfully finished their 10+2 studies from a recognized board with the needed subjects for the intended course.

Application Process

The application procedure for Imphal College includes the following:

1. Show up for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG): Candidates are required to register and show up for the CUET UG exam, which will be conducted from May 15 to May 24, 2025.

2. CUET UG Application:

• Go to the official CUET website and complete the application form.
• Submit necessary documents and application fee.
• Select Imphal College and the preferred course as options.

3. Generation of Merit List: The Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur, generates a comparative statement of merit on the basis of CUET UG scores and other material criteria.

4. Selection Procedure: Imphal College follow the merit list sent by the Directorate in selecting applicants for admission to different courses.

5. Document Verification: The shortlisted applicants have to provide the following documents for verification:

• CUET UG score card
• 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
• Character certificate
• Transfer certificate (if applicable)

B.Sc Programs: Imphal College conducts B.Sc courses in Physics, Geology, Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Statistics. Admission for all B.Sc courses is governed through the relative statement of merit list submitted by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

• B.Sc Mathematics Core: 70 seats
• B.Sc English Core: 70 seats
• B.Sc Chemistry Core: 50 seats
• B.Sc Botany Core: 80 seats
• B.Sc Zoology Core: 70 seats
• B.Sc Statistics Core: 40 seats

BA Programs: The college provides BA programs in History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Manipuri, Economics, Philosophy, and Education. The admission procedure for BA programs also adheres to the merit list given by the Directorate. 

The sanctioned intake for each program is as follows:

• BA History Core: 50 seats
• BA Political Science Core: 70 seats
• BA Sociology Core: 60 seats
• BA Geography Core: 70 seats
• BA Manipuri Core: 70 seats
