Established in 1983, The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management Bhubaneswar is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (GOI). IITTM Bhubaneswar offers education, training and research related to sustainable management of tourism, and other allied sectors. 

The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management Bhubaneswar courses include BBA (Tourism and Travel Management) and MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Both these courses focus on travel and tourism education. 

Admissions to these courses are offered through entrance tests under a centralised admission programme applicable for all seven institutes of IITTM. Those who have appeared for the CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA and CUET PG will be exempted from the institute’s entrance test for the MBA admission process.

IITTM Bhubaneswar facilities include modern infrastructure with air-conditioned classrooms. Along with the lecture hall, the campus also has a computer centre, multi-purpose hall, faculty rooms, and internet facilities.
