The Institute of Biomedical Sciences: Purba Bardhaman has been established as an institute of biomedical sciences and hence commences the effective journey to train the minds for the future health professionals. Admission to the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) programme is entirely merit-based and in order of merit. Institute of Biomedical Sciences: Purba Bardhaman admission in the BMLT programme is done through Integrated JENPAS UG- Joint Entrance for Paramedical and Undergraduate, to which students from West Bengal are qualified to apply for this entrance-examination which will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is the course offered by Institute of Biomedical Sciences: Purba Bardhaman. This institute, therefore, offers not only the Bachelor's Programme in BMLT but also pursues rewarding careers in medical laboratory technology, which is the backbone of modern health care. Institute of Biomedical Sciences admission to BMLT is strictly against each rank according to one's performance in the competitive examination conducted by WBJEE for the conduct of the JENPAS UG test. Limited to 20 students in total, there will be a race between the students for these channels. The course fee for BMLT stands at Rs. 2,10,000.
