The Institute of Education, Tiruchirappalli, also known as IET was started in the year 2006 offering educational training exclusively for the generation of budding educators. Located in Poothavar Village, Thogaimalai Main Road, opposite to National Research Centre for Banana (NRCB), it is affiliated college is situated in a 3.43 Acre campus. The institute recognized by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) provides curriculum mainly in the field of teacher education. Intake of students is currently at 246 while 13 faculty members serve in the Institute of Education and thus the institute offers a favorable environment for learning in education.
