Few main differences between IHM and IIHM are:

(1) IHM is a government institution whereas IIHM is a private one.

(2) IHM offers a 3 years degree and also a pg level course. IIHM offers only ug level program. There is no post graduate program offered. IIHM also provides an opportunity to spend 1 years abroad.

(3) Being a government institution, IHM fees is quire less compared to IIHM.

As for the which is better, I again stress on the fact that i do not have adequate knowledge. however looking at their website contents and some internet search IHM (government one) seems to be better positioned.

THANK YOU!

NCHMCT JEE is a national level exam conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in hospitality. Candidates must have passed class 12
with English as a compulsory subject.

Nchmt Jee is a 3 Hour online exam. It contains 200 questions. 4 marks is awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. The questions will be objective based. You have to choose one option from a given choice of 4 options. The subjects included in this exam are:
1)English
2) Numerical ability and Analytic Aptitude.
3) Reasoning and Logical deduction.
4) General Knowledge and Current affairs.
5) Aptitude for service sector.

To excel in this exam, my personal suggestion to you is:
1) Study really hard for English subject. Attempt each question in English section. Make your grammer perfect.
2) In the Numerical ability section don't take much risk. Attempt only those questions you are 100% sure of. But attempt almost 75% of the questions in that section.
3) You have to really be updated with the general knowledge and the current affairs. Keep reading the current news on Covid19 and the topics which are trending these days. Stay updated on the news about Hospitality and Hotel sectors.
4) The aptitude section is really very easy. You just have to think from others point of view while answering.

Overall the exam is pretty easy as compared to other competitive exams. One guide I would recommend you is of the Arihant publication. It has really helped me in my Jee exams and will surely help you too.

All the best for your exams!!

Hello,

You have not mentioned in which degree you want to join. IHM Pusa offers BSc, MSc, Diploma and PG Diploma.

  1. admission to MSc and PG diploma is done based on graduation score.
  2. Admission into BSc is done on the basis of 12th score and NCHMCT-JEE score
  3. for diploma is done on the basis of 10th score.
  4. Craftmanship course  for food production.

NCHMCT-JEE is a national entrance exam conducted by NTA which has questions from

  1. Numerical ability
  2. analytical aptitude
  3. english language
  4. Logical reasoning
  5. service Sector.
  6. general knowledge and current affairs

there is negative marking and if you score in 2 section then you will have bad marks in other 4 section. so you will have very high rank and may not be eligible for IHM, Pusa even though you have SC reservation category .

try for atleast 4 section. syllabus is less but you have to prepare alot. exam is in end of june so give more time for aptitude, english and service sector. there are online mock exam , attend those to check your performance.

Hope it helps!

Dear student!
IHM stands for Institute of Hotel Management and IIHM stands for Indian Institute of Hotel Management.
IHM is a government Institute and IIHM is a Private Institute. IIHM offers international courses and degrees to students in addition to the normal courses. IHM being a government Institute has affordable fees as compared to IIHM. The Certificate offered by IHM has more value in India.
There's no major difference in studies, just the campus and other things differ.
