The Institute of Technology & Marine Engineering is a very reputed educational institution in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Since the dawn of 2002, NITMAS has emerged as one of the prime technical education centers. This college is situated in a sprawling 32-acre campus and has the approval of AICTE. With a total student enrolment of 359 and a faculty strength of 51, NITMAS offers a wide variety of courses in the field of engineering.

The Institute of Technology & Marine Engineering offers a wide range of programs in engineering; all of these are full-time B.Tech courses. 

The admission process in NITMAS is, therefore, based on performance in national and state-level entrance examinations. At the undergraduate level, the institute admits students to its B.Tech programs through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. This highly competitive entrance examination system shall ensure that some of the brightest minds within the field of engineering are always attracted to the institute. The Institute offers lateral admission to the second year of B.Tech programs through the WBJEE JELET.
