The flagship programme of IMI Kolkata is the two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme designed to prepare and train students to become excellent managers and high-level-decision-makers across functional areas with broad strategic vision. The programme is designed to designed to prepare students for a career in the corporate, across all functional areas. The programme enables students with strong conceptual skills to manage businesses in an integrated manner and also develops versatile managers who are capable of handling responsibilities across domains who can respond effectively to changes in the economic, technological, cultural and political environments in a socially sensitive manner. The Programme inculcates a strong sense of business fundamentals along with ethical values.

Eligibility Criteria

Education background
A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities). The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification of the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education, post higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2024. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the programme.

Eligibility criteria
50% marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation from any AIU approved academic institution. Those graduating in 2024 may also apply.

Candidates who apply online for admission into PGDM will be shortlisted on the basis of

Entrance Score (CAT/XAT/CMAT or GMAT score)
Academic Record

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process – the Individual Assessment

Individual Assessment Process (Personal Interview) will be held in January/ February 2024(tentative).

Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process.

The IMI Kolkata Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.

College Infrastructure

My college provides excellent infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms, a modern library, and state-of-the-art labs. The Wi-Fi speed is decent, and the computer labs are equipped with the latest software. The campus is clean and has a good environment for learning. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with hygienic food and proper security. Sports facilities are also available, with a dedicated area for indoor and outdoor games.

College Infrastructure

Nestled in a bustling city, IMI Kolkata boasts excellent facilities ensuring a well rounded and enjoyable student friendly environment. A well equipped library, one veg and one non veg mess with canteen, basketball and volleyball court, centralized AC classrooms and hostel, an auditorium and the picturesque main building. WIFI is provided 24/7 and hostel facilities are great overall. The campus is well maintained and kept clean and up to mark.

College Infrastructure

The B-School is equipped with all modern facilities, including modern classrooms, modern auditorium, and all other amenities. The hostel, which is adjacent to the B-School and inside campus, has different wings for girls and boys, with different room types so that students can choose their preference. The hostel follows strict rules and regulations to maintain security and to prevent mishaps. A doctor is also available in the campus, anyone can visit him without paying fees. Phycologists are also available to care for student's mental health.
