Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed : The Bachelor of Education programme under Jawaharlal Nehru College of Education has an intake of 100 students. It is admitted purely on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance test, as considered by the State Government and the University. It is designed with the aim to prepare students to become teachers up to the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels.

D.El.Ed It has an admission capacity of 50 students. For admissions merit obtained in qualifying examination, often 10+2 would form the basis and in addition thereto it would also include, entrance examinations etc. or such other method or methods of admission as the State Government/ UT Administration may think fit. Its training would continue up to Primary and Upper primary classes levels of teaching.

M.Ed: The master's degree programme in education-M.Ed has been approved for admission of 50 students. All admissions are done strictly on the basis of merit, keeping into consideration the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as B.Ed. or equivalent qualification, performance at entrance examinations besides any other criterion that may have been prescribed by the state government, university, or UT administration. This Master's program educates students about leadership roles and research.
