Jayamatha Engineering College formerly called as Triamburmr Engineering college Kanyakumari the Affiliated College was established in the year 1995.At present Jayamatha Engineering College is functioning in the picturesque land of Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu. Located in a vast land measuring 49.98 acres, this AICTE recognised engineering college has been in existence for a little over two decades. The college currently has 7 courses in two degrees, and mainly focuses on several engineering fields. Jayamatha Engineering College offers personalised learning and teaching, and it has 90 students intake and 72 faculty members.

Jayamatha Engineering College has a myriad of amenities intended to bolster the college experience. The campus comprises of male and female hostels to provide adequate accommodation to student with security services, monitoring and counseling from us all day. Functional health centre with provision of the first aid is organised for students. The college library is a store house of knowledge resources; it has strength of more than 24542 volumes of science and technical books it also has a digital library with 44 no’s of computer systems. For the people interested in extra activities the campus has basketball, volleyball & tennis court available, football ground, which is also used as cricket pitch, well equipped gym etc. Some of the IT uses include classroom and other academic pursuits along with co curricular activities where the auditorium is used for events and seminars.

In order to intake more number of students and provide adequate opportunities to the students, Jayamatha Engineering College has provided more number of engineering fields. It offers seven undergraduate programmes: BE and one postgraduate programme ME, all of which are only for full time. The Undergraduate programmes comprised of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering& Computer Science & Engineering. For learners who wants deeper degree specialisation, the college provides an ME in Computer Science and Engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is 270 students allowing many opportunities for those who wish to pursue an engineering career.

Admission process of Jayamatha Engineering College is very much simple and effective for any kind of students. No particular date of admission is given, but the college accepts CEETA-PG for post graduate admission through Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission. Standards of entry for the undergraduate programmes vary and the general entry requirements include performance in entrance exams and their score from their 12th standard. Education at the college level does not end at the classroom the college has a Training and Placement Cell that aims at improving the marketability skills of its students. As earlier indicated, the college must offer various scholarships to deserving persons but the information on such scholarships could not be established. While pursuing the academic course in Jayamatha Engineering College, students join a large society of alumni who are actively participating in the ongoing development of the college in the sphere of the engineering education.
