About JCET: Jiaganj College of Engineering and Technology, an institution of higher learning established in the year 2006, situated in West Bengal, is affiliated and officially sprawled over with a campus of 1.54 acres. JCET is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education to ensure quality in the sphere of technical education. The institute provides 5 diploma courses within diverse streams of engineering, catering to a student enrollment of 888 and a faculty strength of 40. The commitment of JCET towards providing proper technical education is portrayed by the institution's numerous diverse courses and advanced facilities.

This college has a lot of facilities that help students to develop and move on on the right path. Besides, there are other facilities like that of a well-stocked library with over 6,492 volumes and 241 titles, in addition to 8 journals, thus there is no dearth of support for academic works. There are hostel facilities separately for boys and girls, and out-of-town students would be able to reside without inconvenience. The all-round development of students remains a priority at JCET, as evidenced by the provision of sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games. The institute has laboratories which are fully equipped to provide firsthand knowledge for the study of engineering related subjects. The institution has tremendous potential and is backed by a modern IT infrastructure, a spacious cafeteria for refreshments, and ample parking space for students, as well as staff.  

JCET offers only full-time diploma courses in engineering, to be completed within 3 years. The courses are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. The total intake approved by the board for this institute is 270 seats. Besides, the largest intake is that of 120 seats for the Civil Engineering department.                         

 Admission at Jiaganj College of Engineering and Technology is pretty much entrance-oriented. The JEXPO conducted by the Polytechnics West Bengal is the prime exam that is acceptable to the college for admission into the Diploma course. An aspirant has to qualify to secure admission into the college by passing the said entrance examination.
