Jiaganj College of Engineering and Technology, Murshidabad Admission Process
It's name is Jiaganj College of Engineering and Technology (JCET), as the further most established college in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The college has several diploma courses under several branches of engineering and admissions in the college take place through an admission process. JCET is an institute that is an AICTE approved institute. It also has very good facilities for students. Most of JCET's admissions are done through entrance. That is, the entrance exam for entering into diploma courses of JCET is Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO), which is conducted by the Polytechnics West Bengal.
Normally the session at JCET will commence between August and September, while admissions will start some months earlier. Degree wise Admission Process.
Diploma in Civil engineering: A 3-year full-time program with an intake capacity of 120 seats. The parameters for entry are the results of the candidate's entrance examination, through either JEXPO or other entrance tests accepted by the college. Candidates are to secure a valid rank in the entrance examination.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This full-time 3-year program from JCET has an intake of 60 seats. Admission procedure involves either the JEXPO entrance examination or other accepted entrance tests. Candidates need to obtain a valid rank in the entrance examination to become eligible for admission.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This program also has a strength of 60 seats, and much like the entry process for the Mechanical Engineering diploma, candidates are to qualify through the entrance exam with a valid rank to be considered for admission.
Diploma in Automobile Engineering: For this specific Diploma specialization course, JCET has instituted a total of 15 seats. However, there are absent specific details regarding admission, so it is assumed that the entrance examination mechanism prevails in determining the eligibility of candidates.
Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: This program will have a strength of 15 students. For admission, the expected process will be the same as with all other JCET diplomas as it is going to be through the performance in related entrance examinations.
