The USP of our college is its infrastructure and facilities. We have good classrooms, computer labs, and even libraries. The hostel rooms are definitely clean and orderly. The rooms are cleaned once every other day. Tight security measures at the campus prevent any charm for students.
The professors of our college are knowledgeable, having completed their Ph.D. from good colleges, with teaching experience of more than 10 years. The course curriculum is relevant and helps us learn new skills for placement.
The placement and training cell of the college has placed nearly 90 percent of the students. The highest salary package, going up to 15 LPA, was provided for our course, while the lowest salary package ranged from 3 LPA. The average package provided by our college was approximately 7 LPA. The companies that were the most frequent recruiters included Kantar, Amazon, Faber, Paytm, Intel, and so on.
Living spaces are hygienic and infrastructure is superb such that whatever one's interest they can continue to excel at it. There is a gym with all the equipment one needs and football fields, along with the equipment needed for other sports and yearly Jindal leagues for students.
Currently studying BBA (Hons.) and I guarantee that the faculty is amazing, very student friendly and do a good job in preparing us for a job. The curriculum is constantly updated and the faculty did a great job to adapt during the pandemic.
I haven't yet entered the placement stage but the internships provided by the Office of Career Services have helped me in gaining experience through various opportunities, and at the same time I had the chance to do internships in finance, marketing and more.
For the money charged, I believe the college provides an all round experience with great food and hostels, along with the academic support by the faculty.
Campus Life is probabky one of the best in India.
O. P. Jindal provides the perfect college experience and having studied at the Business School, I can confirm that academics are of superior quality as well as placements and infrastructure. The faculty is very student friendly and even during the pandemic they managed to brilliantly adapt to the changing environments in order to provide the students as close an experience as they could manage to a sit-in class.
The infrastructure was just mind blowing, one of the best i have seen in India. All the facilities were excellent. Food is also very good 90% of the time. Library was also quite big with a vast variety of all types of books. A full fledged medical centre with all possible equipments is present on campus too. It is also a 24x7 centre. The study abroad programs are a USP of this course and i made use of that USP to secure admission in Nottingham Trent University for September 2020 intake.
The faculty was quite qualified, helpful and open to the students. Many professors went above and beyond their duties to help the students. For example giving extra time to the students even when they had a choice not to. All the staff was quite polite and cooperative. Sodexo staff was especially very proactive and always happy to help.
The companies we got for placements were quite decent. They included excellent opportunities like ICICI Prudential and many more. Internships were also good but our batch got mainly the remote internship opportunities due to COVID. The placement cell has a very helpful and understanding staff. All of them are quite active and polite.
Approximately 5 lakhs per year.
Campus life was amazing. There was a pool, a gym, a grand library, a dedicated food court with brands like Subway, Dominos, Moti mahal, Keventers and many more. Even the mess food was quite good and had a vast variety of food options.
.
Since it is a fully residential campus, all possible needs of the student are tended to within the campus itself. The classrooms are world-class with ample space and facilities. A state-of-the-art library for students to study with a wide range of books is available. There is a mess (cafeteria) that provides vegetarian food for all students and in addition, there is a food court and other small tucks shops around campus. The hostel rooms are ell maintained and provide all amenities to students.
With a wide range of knowledgeable faculty member, they are the core of the business school. Teachers make session interactive and are always open to clarify doubts or explain concepts again. Faculty members have educational qualifications from top notch B-schools, holding a PhD degree in their field of study. The teaching pedagogy is in line with any other B-school, case studies provide students with knowledge on managerial problems and widen the intellectual capacity of students.
An enthusiastic Office of Career Services (OCS) headed by faculty members help batch students with their final placements as well as internships. There are two compulsory internships for students during the course, for which there are a wide range of companies to choose from. The average placement offered is from 6-7 LPA and can go up to 15 LPA.
The total cost for a 2 year MBA course amounts to about 15-16 L. This includes the hostel, laundry, food and academic fee. The infrastructural facilities and faculty make each penny spent worth it!
It is said that "Jindal never sleeps". I am yet to experience this physically as I started my semester virtually but the QS rankings. O.P. Jindal University is knowns for the two most exciting fests: Biswamil and Magnus, for which students from various universities come and enjoy the festivities. The student council and other societies are very active with the student body and make your journey exciting!
This college has one of the most amazing infrastructure. It provides all facilities required by students specially when they come far away from their homes. The hostels provide all facilities at fingertips and the staff members are very supportive. The classrooms and libraries are comfortable, providing suitable environment to study and concentrate. The college provides many opportunities in sports field as well by providing fields and grounds for all Outdoor ad well as indoor sports.
I am Bba 1st year student and I’m pursuing this course as I want to further pursue my career towards the management side. The curriculum for this course is well up to date keeping students aware and engaged. Sometimes I face problems with few subjects as I’m not able to understand them well in class. But apart from the slight problems , my experience in this course is quite well.
As I have heard , placements for the course is quite well with good package. Companies like amazon have also been recruiting the undergrad students. The companies take formal interviews and select students on their skills and capabilities regardless of any partial and biased behaviour.
My course’s tution fee is 4 lakh rupees p.a. I feel that it’s quite high as till today’s day experience. It is worth it but I feel it could be slight better in the teaching area. Some difficulties are being faced with all my batchmates and if these problems overcome, it’s totally worth it.
The best part of JGU is it’s college/ campus life. Since it is a residential college, it really feels home. Moreover, the staff , faculty members are so friendly and supportive that it adds to the comfortable life over here. The campus is very safe for everyone and it offers many events, opportunities to learn. It creates a soothing environment where it becomes equivalent to our homes.
The campus is designed to look like a nest and we are the hatchlings that are being nourished in it, the campus has the best of facilities with high speed internet connectivity all across the campus, spacious hostels and eating facilities offered by the University and otherwise also in the campus food court (Bistro), though my favourite has to be the huge multi disciplinary library and reference library that we have on campus.
With the best of faculties from all over the world from top rated institutions and faculty from IIMs and top management school's in India , I am blessed to see a very diverse yet structured approach to all the subjects that have been taught to me over the past three years I have been on campus, alongwith the world class education pedigree the faculty also comes with experience from the corporate which helps them connect examples and teaching pedagogy from the textbook to the business world.
The quality of placements have been increasing ever year since the foundation batch has graduated, as a student placement representative working closely with the office of career service (previous career department and placement cell) for the past three years , I have personally seen the quality of organizations coming on campus for recruiting students increase along with the job roles and salaried being offered to students. Mostly all competent students from my senior batches have been placed.
The course fee is around 5.5 lakhs / annum, as a student I understand the inhibition that someone might feel as so did I but the kind of opportunities and facilities that the college offers are unparalleled, I myself was able to go on a semester abroad on scholarship and so were a lot of my other competent batchmates, this option of studying abroad and being able to choose universities later for MS makes the course value for money.
Since the day you get inside campus there are a plethora of clubs, activities and events that will just keep you engrossed during the entire semester. Students have a wide variety of clubs to choose from where they can show their talents and also learn and pick up a lot of skills. The professor's are very supportive of clubs and mostly there are one to two professor's associated with each club and they help students in safely and efficiently hosting events and activities.
I am happy I made the decision of coming to JGBS, It has offered a career trajectory and path that I couldn't have thought for myself, I'm grateful for the ongoing support I get from my professor's, mentors and batchmates.
The college infrastructure is one of a kind. we have a huge reading room which can fit at least 70 students and there are 3 sections of the library where students can work, study and refer books and newspapers. we have 24/7 WiFi, multiple sports grounds & courts. the housing blocks are well kept & neatly maintained everyday. the academic building as well maintains cleanliness & has multiple food joints to offer to the students during breaks. there are 5 mess areas for meals (veg) & a foodcourt.
i'm a student of 5 years Integrated BBA - MBA. i have chosen this course not only because it gives me 3 degrees (BBA, MBA, MS abroad) but also as the course offers me opportunities like semester exchange, corporate internships and mix of subjects to be well versed with the dynamic business reality. we have professors from IIMs as well as abroad like Cornell, Oxford, Harvard to mention a few. these professors come with a vast knowledge and this is a gained advantage for the students in JGBS.
i am member of the Office of Career Services and have been closely working with them for the last 3 years and in my opinion, JGBS is getting placement options from multiple MNCs, SMEs and many more. our placement connect has been growing over the last 3 years and i have personally seen my seniors getting placed in great companies like Amazon, NoPaperForms, ITC, ICICI bank, M&C Saatchi to name a few. there has also been scope for international placement for some students in Dubai and NYC.
my total fees has been 5.5L per annum which includes tuition, hostel, meals, laundry, etc on campus. In comparison to other business schools, JGBS may seem a little pricey but i saw the opportunities offered by the college. i had the chance to go abroad for a semester which gave a whole new cultural experience. the course also offers an abraod MS programme in the 5th year which is definitely of high value in student's career and this will eventually pave way for job and settling abroad.
the campus life in JGBS is wonderful, the environment is very student friendly .i have been a member of the operation, marketing and performing arts club for 3 years now. the college hosts events and fests for all the students which is an out from the academic life. me being a girl studying in JGBS far away from home (bangalore) will assure that the campus is extremely safe and one cannot find any kind of difficulties in getting along. the staff, faculty and wardens are very warm and welcoming.
i have made the University my 2nd home and i can't be more thankful for the hospitable environment provided by everyone on campus. JGBS has given me so much knowledge which helped in shaping my thinking towards the outside environment. i have grown as a person here, made me more confident and independent. i have met and interacted with people from different parts of the country as well as different parts of the world which gives me a bigger exposure of culture and knowledge.
Jindal possesses all the necessary equipment and facilities required by its students to have. a comfortable stay. not just in the field of academics, such as the global library, smart boards and wifi access, but even in the field of sports, the sports society makes sure that all the relevant equipment is provided. the food has high variety and suits the tastes of the highly-diversified population of the college. the accommodation is well built and well maintained as well.
I am currently studying BBA(Hons.) at JGBS. I chose this course because I've always wanted to understand and become an active part of the business world especially after watching my parents run their business. the quality of teaching at JGBS is remarkable. With the changing times, JGBS seems to adapt to the change and revise our curriculum accordingly, which is very beneficial for us as business students. the multiple and large variety of subjects have personally broadened my horizons than earli
Since I'm still one year away from graduating, I can't vouch for my batch's placements. though knowing from all my seniors, they have received the placements they deserved and worked for and they seem to be extremely happy and satisfied. The office of career services of JGBS assists everyone and conducts internship fairs, which help us get an insight of what we want further and how to get our desired placements.hence the process of getting placements doesn't seem to be a tedious task.
The overall cost per year for my course is 6.5 lakh rupees, out of which the tuition fee is 4 lakhs and the rest is for the accommodation, food, laundry, etc. All that is being provided in this much amount is worth it since its all of good quality and all adds up to making my college experience a memorable and knowledgable one.
The best part about the life at Jindal is the fact that it is a residential college, reasons being- we have a safe environment which provides us with everything easily accessible within one campus such as a swimming pool, gym, various food outlets, etc. Easy access to professors is a great aspect too since most of them live on campus. Another good feature is that JGU consists of various schools (law, journalism, and many more) which make it a very diversified and bigger space for learning.
So coming from a boarding school, I had high expectations from a residential college. academics along with co-curricular activities, sports, etc, were some of the things I had been used to ever since childhood and had wanted in my college experience and luckily (unlike many colleges) JGU provided for all. it made it easier for me to pursue my dreams in the business world while not having to leave other passions of mine behind.
