Jyothi Engineering College (JEC Thrissur) established in 2002, was founded by the Catholic Archdiocese of Trichur and is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. The college imparts technical education and offers engineering courses at UG, PG and Doctoral levels. JEC Thrissur was approved by NBA and accredited by NAAC with “A” grade.
Courses offered in Jyothi Engineering College Thirssur includes B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD courses. The college offers scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Jyothi Engineering College. The main aim of scholarships is to provide financial support to students who are in great need. Jyothi Engineering College B.Tech scholarships are offered based on % obtained in class 12th and KEAM rank holders. Jyothi Engineering College Thrissur accepts students who want to pursue engineering at the undergraduate, postgraduate levels and doctoral levels. Therefore, it gives a B.Tech degree, an M.Tech degree and a doctorate. For JEC Thrissur admission to the B.Tech course, candidates are required to take an entrance test (KEAM), clear the cutoff and apply for counselling.
Moreover, the entrance exam GATE is required for Jyothi Engineering College admission to M.Tech courses. Candidates are normally admitted to the JEC Ph.D programme after passing their Ph.D qualifying/entrance examination followed by an interview. Candidates first have to meet the JEC Ph.D eligibility criteria and then apply for admission.
