Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College Palamu, recognized in the year 2012, is one of the women’s college situated in Daltonganj Jharkhand. This affiliated college recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is mainly involved in providing teacher education. The college is located on a limited area of 0.99 acres, the school provides two full courses with overall 145 enrol of understudies. Located in Ludhiana, it has a faculty of 20 members educating ambitious teachers thus practicing a student to teacher ratio that is ideal for offering quality education.

The college has many of the amenities that are important in the development of the students ‘ experience in school. For academic purposes, a well-stocked library is said to be information center equipped with all basic needs. There are well equipped and modern laboratories on campus for simple practical teaching and research. For extra of curricular activities, various buildings for playing fields have been developed in order to support physical fitness of the students and nurturing teamwork. This is an auditorium area which is also used for related events and seminars, to enhance a lively communative student environment. And as to a rather significant part of student services, the college has a health center that deals with first aid. 

Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College offers two comprehensive teacher education programmes: A Baccalaureate in Education (B.Ed), and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). Both programmes are two year, full-time courses of study. The B.Ed is the core programme that the college has to offer and the programme has an approved admission capacity of 100 students.
