Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College Palamu, recognized in the year 2012, is one of the women’s college situated in Daltonganj Jharkhand. This affiliated college recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is mainly involved in providing teacher education. The college is located on a limited area of 0.99 acres, the school provides two full courses with overall 145 intake of understudies. Located in Ludhiana, it has a faculty of 20 members educating ambitious teachers thus practicing a student to teacher ratio that is ideal for offering quality education.

The college has many of the amenities that are important in the development of the students ‘ experience in school. Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College offers two comprehensive teacher education programmes: A Baccalaureate in Education (B.Ed), and /or a Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). Both programmes are two year, full-time courses of study. The B.Ed programme is the core programme that the college has to offer and the programme has an approved admission capacity of 100 students. The D.El.Ed programme gives 50 seats for those who have a passion for teaching at the primary level. These are courses that aims at preparing a student in order to become a teacher, whereby classes combine theory with practice.

It has been clearly understood that the admission process in Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College plays important role in selecting the right set of teacher education programmes. The admission criteria for B.Ed course is: The Entrance Examination and Merit Base.
