Founded in the year of 1986, the Kamptee Polytechnic is an autonomous institution based in New Kamptee, Maharashtra. This technical institute has been approved from the All India Council for Technical Education and offers diploma programs in various engineering streams. Located within a 5-acre compact campus, Kamptee Polytechnic has a total student intake of 239 and a faculty strength of 28. The institute has four full-time diploma courses, each extending into three years, with specialisations in Civil Engineering, Mining and Mine Surveying, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The total intake of students in all the courses taken together is 120, with the intake in each programme being 30. The approved intake is kept low so as to maintain a very favourable student to faculty ratio for appropriate individual attention and imparting of quality education.
