Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and was established in 2009 as an affiliated college. Grown in a 25-acre sprawling campus, KITP has carved a niche in pharmaceutical education. The institute is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, thus ensuring quality education in this field. The intake capacity is 399 students with a faculty strength of 39, making KITP an ideal learning place. The institution offers four courses in pharmacy, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, embracing various facets of the pharmaceutical sciences.
Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy is endowed with adequate facilities. There are separate well-maintained boys' and girls' hostels that provide a comfortable and safe living environment for students away from home. Each hostel is self-contained, having its own mess where good nutritious meals are provided and community life among its residents is fostered. The campus library, with more than 400 seating capacities, is state of the art and is stocked with a large and rich collection of more than 55,000 volumes. The courses in pharmacy that the institute has to offer include D.Pharma, B.Pharma, and M.Pharma. Each one of them is full-time and regular on-campus programmes which provide deep knowledge and practical skills in a number of pharmaceutical disciplines. The combined approved intake of students for the year stands at a total of 190, wherein B.Pharma has the maximum number of seats pegged at 100. It is manifested in the various courses, right from diploma level to postgraduate level, of KITP, which caters to versatility in the field of education for the emerging pharmacists.

Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy (KITP), one of the recognized institutes in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been providing quality education in pharmacy courses to deserving candidates through its admission procedures. Admissions for the different pharmacy programs are done through a joint entrance examination organized by the main institutions.
KITP provides diploma and undergraduate programs in pharmacy, along with postgraduate courses in pharmacy. Programs adopt several entrance examinations according to their program. The D.Pharma and B.Pharma programs are credited to the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) or JEECUP.
Most programs differ in their eligibility criteria. For example, 10+2 via a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics is required for D.Pharma and B.Pharma. Application Process

M.Pharma:

Degree Wise Admission Process
D.Pharma: The Diploma in Pharmacy course contains a sanctioned intake of 60 students at KITP, and it is entry based on performance in the JEECUP examination. Ineligible candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
B.Pharma: This Bachelor of Pharmacy program is taken in with a limit of 100 students admitted through the JEECUP examination. Admission is open to students who have passed their 10+2 with electives Physics and Chemistry, either Mathematics or Biology.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: This postgraduate program comprises an intake of 15 students.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Admission mode according to the criteria for entering the second postgraduate program is by around 15 seats. Usually, entry criteria require a B.Pharma degree; however, candidates should check for confirmation with the institute.
