Khallikote Autonomous College at Berhampur is reckoned as one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in Odisha. The college undertakes different undergraduate and postgraduate programs belonging to Arts, Commerce, and Science streams under its fold. The admission process at Khallikote Autonomous College is worked out to qualify deserving candidates based on their academic merit and performance in entrance tests for specific courses.

The admission cycle mostly goes hand in hand with the academic calendar of the universities in the state of Odisha. Usually, it starts in June-July and continues for an August-September commencement for the academic year. Admission for undergraduate programs is based entirely on the past academic performance of the candidates. Postgraduate courses generally have an entrance exam, and in some cases, score obtained in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination will also be considered.

3. Attach all necessary documents- 10+2 mark sheets, transfer certificate and all relevant certificates.
4. Submit the filled application form along with required fees at the college admission office or through the prescribed mode.
5. Wait for the merit list published by the college.
6. Complete the admission process if selected by paying fees and submitting original documents for verification.

For Postgraduate Programs (M.Sc, MA, M.Com, MCA, MFC):

1. Entrance examinations will be posted on the college website.
2. Register yourself for the entrance exam (college based or OJEE for MCA).
3. Take the entrance exam at the appointed time and date.
4. Following the declaration of results, names of qualified candidates will be called for verification of documents and counseling.
5. Complete the admission by paying the requisite fees and submitting other required documents.

For MCA Program:

1. Register and appear for the OJEE examination.

Degree-wise Admission Process 

BA (Bachelor of Arts): Admission to BA programs is awarded according to the merit in previous academics. The college has several specializations in Arts subjects. The sanctioned strength for BA programs is 512.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): The process of admission for B.Com remains as per the previous academic performance of students. The sanctioned intake for this program is 413 to turn students into aspiring commerce professionals.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): Admission for B.Sc is made on merit based on past academic records. The approved strength for B.Sc courses is 400.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The college provides the BBA program under self-financing. However, due to a lack of specific information, it is likely to follow a merit-based admission process.

M.Sc (Master of Science): While a number of specialized M.Sc programs such as Biotechnology, Computer Science, Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, and Physics are offered, admissions are arrived at through entrance examinations. Intake varies according to specialization ranging from 16 to 40.

MA (Master of Arts): MA programs in subjects like Education, Anthropology, Economics, Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Oriya, and Philosophy will be conducted based on entrance tests with an intake capacity varying depending on the subject (16 to 40).

M.Com (Master of Commerce): Admissions to this M.Com program will be undertaken through the entrance exam. Though the sanctioned strength is 48, it may be expanded should the demand present itself.

MCA (Master of Computer Applications): This MCA program is operated by self-financing and admits students through OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) and allows intake of 30 students.

MFC (Master of Finance and Control): This is a self-financing program, and therefore admission to the program is accomplished via entrance examination, with the approval intake being 48 students.
