About Kings Engineering College, Sriperumbudur
Kings Engineering College (KEC) was established in the year 2001, is a self – financing institution situated at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. KEC is one of the constituent colleges of Anna University, Chennai and offers a Nos of under graduate and post graduate engineering programmes. This college occupies a campus of one hundred and thirty-five thousand and six square meters and has a total of nine hundred and sixty-eight students enroled in its programs and has one hundred and eighty-five members of faculty. The KEC is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Indian University. With nine courses in all, the two degrees are available at the institute with speciality in different engineering fields.
Kings Engineering College Sriperumbudur has well equipped modern infrastructure to enabling students to provide support for their academics and co curricular activities. Hostels for both male and female are available on campus with appropriately facilitated bathrooms and study sections in each room. Thus, college library, which measures 6000 sq. ft., boasts of its seating capacity for two thousand students and has a collection for about 38,400 volumes of text-books, reference books, journals etc. It remains open from 8:from 12:00 AM to 6:00PM on working days but with an open access because of its convenience.
The institute has in total 9 courses where out of them 8 courses are of BE and 1 course out of ME. All programmes are based full time education, where a BE programmes takes four years to complete and ME programmes take two years to complete.
