BS.C OTT is a three year undergraduate program that deals with different aspects related to surgery performed at the operation theater. Those who have expertise in Operation Theatre Technology are called Operation Theatre Technicians. The courses in Operation Theatre Technology intend to impart knowledge of this field so that these professionals can help experts perform various procedures smoothly. Students learn to operate and maintain a variety of medical equipment used in the operating room, including surgical lights, anesthesia machines, monitors, imaging devices, and surgical instruments.

Operation theater technologists work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure that surgical procedures run smoothly and safely. They are responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, arranging surgical instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to apply for admission to the B.Sc OTT must have the following basic requirements:

Must have received at least 50 per cent on an aggregate of Class 12 or any other equivalent test from a recognised board.
Aspirants must have taken Biology/ Zoology/ Botany, Physics and Chemistry in Class 12 as mandatory courses.
