The main criteria for admission depend on merit derived from the total score obtained by a candidate on the qualifying examination held by MDU, KUK, CDLU, Sirsa, or BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya. For admission into the B.Ed course, eligibility requires graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program has 50 seats at Kissan College of Education. The basis of selection is the merit of applicants in the qualifying examination. Scores of any entrance examination or selection process conducted either by the State Government or UT Administration shall also be considered. The D.El.Ed program has been structured for learners aspiring to teach in primary schools.
