KR College of Education, Dindigul Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

KR College of Education, Dindigul, is one of the premier institutions in the state of Tamil Nadu for training future teachers. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed. ) course with a specialization in Teacher Training. 

Merit based admission is followed in the college. The merit is determined on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, if any. Thus, the most qualified and competent students are selected for admission to the B. Ed. course. The intake capacity of KR College of Education is 116 with 100 seats approved for admission to the B. Ed. course per academic year.

Candidates applying for the B. Ed course usually need to possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. 

Application Process

The candidates applying for the B. Ed course at KR College of Education, Dindigul, have to follow the following process:

1. Notification of Admissions: The college announces the commencement of admission process through print and electronic media and its website.

2. Application Form The candidates need to get the application form and fill it up. It may be downloaded from the college website or collected from the college admission office.

3. Document Submission: Along with filled-up application form, candidates have to submit all required documents which may include:

• Marks sheets of qualifying examination (Bachelor's degree)
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)
• Passport size photographs

4. Application Fee: The candidates may have to pay the application fee. They should check the mode of payment and fee amount from the college.

5. Merit List The college prepares the merit list on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination and/or entrance exam, as per the guidelines issued by the state government and the university.

6. Counselling and Seat Allotment Shortlisted candidates may be called for counselling and seats would be allotted on the basis of merit and availability.

7. Confirmation of admission: The selected candidates have to confirm the admission by paying the prescribed fee and submitting the original documents within the stipulated time.

8. Orientation: admitted students are usually required to attend an orientation program at the beginning of the academic session.

Degree wise Admission Process

B. Ed Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) is the flagship programme of KR College of Education, Dindigul. It is a two year full time course. It prepares the students to take up teaching profession in various educational institutions. The admission into B. Ed programme is merit based considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and / or any relevant entrance examination as per the policy of the state government and the affiliated university. The college has an approved intake of 100 students for this programme.
