Krishma Education Centre College was established in the year 2003 at Mandi in the beautiful natural state of Himachal Pradesh in India and affiliated with a university. Located at Village Dadour, Post Office Dhaban, Tehsil Balh, this institute has been moulding the future educationists for around one and a half decades. Its location is in just half an acre but the college has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), which maintains quality standards in teacher education. To produce quality educators, Krishma Education Centre has two teaching programs/courses in education, enrolling all together 100 students and 13 faculty members.
This college has a number of installations that are aimed at assisting the learning of the college learners. The focal point of the institute is the fully fledged library, where the students can get access to 8,870 books, 31 journals and magazines, and 11 encyclopaedias. There is also a book bank facility for the students from poor backgrounds and a reading room that can accommodate fifty-two students at a time. To support human body health, the college provides various forms of sports amenities, such as indoor and outdoor playgrounds accompanied by yoga classes and a first aid section.
A 300-seat, multi-purpose auditorium is functioning as the most effective interface of academic and cultural transactions. The college also has a girls’ hostel a few minutes away at Chamunda Colony, Ner Chowk, with all modern facilities for 25 students. For instance, the campus has laboratories that support the subjects taught, a health centre with first aid facilities for the learners and the staff and a students and staff canteen.
Krishma Education Centre offers two full-time courses in the field of education: B. Ed. and M. Ed. B’ED programme, which is the flagship programme of the proposed institute, has an intake of 100 and M’ED programme has an intake of 25 students. Each of them is designed to take two years to produce professional aspirants in education and educational leaders. At the college level, two specialised courses, which can be offered with a comprehensive focus, are production of quality teachers and educational administrators.
But for students to gain admission into this institution, the policy that is followed is the merit system, which is an addition to the policies laid down by the state Government Union Territory administration and the university to which the institution is affiliated. Self financing: For the B.Ed. programme, the admissions are given fully based on the marks obtained in the qualifying test / entrance test. Likewise, admission to the M.Ed. programme is done on a merit basis, that is, they assess the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other mode of selection as prescribed by the authorities concerned.
Some prospective students are encouraged to check the college’s homepage or contact the admission office to feel free to get the definite timetable because the timetable may be different every year. About scholarships, there is not much information; however, those who are interested in such things are welcome to contact the institute of their choice directly with the question regarding any possible financial help. The college, which is relevant to the educational field of the country, has been helpful in the advancement of the education teaching profession in the area but information about the prominent students of the college is lacking in the available data.
