Admission to KEC Bhilai is based on an all-inclusive and merit-based mode. For admission to the State Quota, a candidate has to qualify in the PET conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. The National Testing Agency is conducting the JEE Main, and admission to All India Quota is granted based on this. KEC Bhilai Admission
Krishna Engineering College, Bhilai (KEC Bhilai) is one such college whose good reputation is based on various engineering programs. Admission for undergraduate engineering courses is carried out based on merit. KEC Bhilai offers two main channels for admission: the State Quota and the All India Quota.
In a State quota, a candidate has to qualify in the Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. The All India Quota admissions are on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) score conducted by the National Testing Agency. The college has a Management Quota which can allow qualifying candidates through CG PET or JEE Main.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Chhattisgarh, is the agency for the entire counselling and admission process for the State and All India Quota seats. For the Management Quota, the college has a separate application process which follows a strict merit-based selection based on the entrance examination results. Generally, KEC Bhilai starts the admission procedures in May-June for the upcoming academic year of August-September.
